Guava Refining Stage in the Double-Stage Pulper

See how secondary refining fits within the combined pulper/refiner and how screen condition, fibre and throughput are assessed.

01

One combined assembly

The two stacked working housings in the double-stage pulper form one extraction and refining assembly. The recovered first-stage stream is refined further before onward handling. The inlet-side and main views show the same equipment.

02

Refining choices change more than appearance

Screen opening, rotor action and feed behaviour affect fibre passage, retained material and flow. Compare product and residue under the same lot and preparation conditions. A smaller aperture alone is not acceptance of the finished pulp.

03

Maintain both stages

Inspect screens, seals and residue paths with the equipment isolated. Make room in the layout for safe access to the working housings. Link maintenance observations to the product sample record when investigating a change in texture.
