EQUIPMENT SELECTION GUIDE
Brush Washer or Bubble Washer for Guava?
Compare roller-and-spray washing with a wash-bath and fruit elevator by guava firmness, water handling, cleaning access and discharge height.

Compare the fruit contact
The brush washer turns fruit against rollers under spray water. The bath-and-elevator configuration uses wet handling followed by an inclined cleated belt. Soft, split or bruised fruit may respond differently to the two arrangements; use the intended fruit supply in the assessment.
Compare the water circuit
Supply, collection, screening and drainage must match the chosen washing action. Identify rinse water separately from recirculation where included. The bath requires access to remove accumulated soil, while roller areas need access beneath and around the working surfaces.
Consider height as well as washing
The integrated elevator lifts fruit to a downstream working level. A brush washer needs its own suitable handover to the inspection conveyor. Check transfer gaps, free falls and operator reach rather than adding a second elevator by default.
Keep inspection as a separate duty
Neither configuration replaces operator removal of damaged fruit. Position an accessible inspection conveyor after washing, with reject collection outside the accepted-fruit path. Include the receiving and discharge heights in a washing enquiry.
