A washing layout with lift
The bath provides the wet handling stage; the inclined conveyor lifts fruit out towards the next machine. Cross-belt cleats help carry fruit up the incline. This arrangement changes both water handling and the line elevation, so it is selected with the complete preparation layout.
Control the handover
Set the inlet, working-water level, fruit bed and discharge point together. Receiving height must allow the downstream conveyor or preparation machine to accept fruit without bruising, overflow or obstruction of a reject path.
Water, belt and guards
Plan access to remove soil from the bath and retained fruit from the belt. Check tracking, tension and cleat condition with the drive isolated. Keep the head drive and return path guarded; the platform is access space, not storage for bins.
Choose the configuration for the fruit
Brush washing and bath washing use different contact conditions. Evaluate fruit firmness, contamination and water management to select a layout. The integrated elevator is part of this assembly; a second lift is needed only where the plant arrangement requires it.
