EQUIPMENT SELECTION GUIDE

Does Guava Need a Crusher Before Pulping?

Assess an optional fruit crusher before guava extraction by feed consistency, hard-seed condition, pulp quality and the downstream pulper duty.

01

Crushing is a preparation option

A PS-family crusher reduces feed size ahead of extraction. It is not a precision halving machine and does not replace inspection. Include it only when the selected guava preparation route gains a useful, demonstrated benefit.

02

Observe seed integrity as well as feeding

Guava has hard seeds. Changes in preparation can affect seed condition and the separator load. Compare matched fruit lots and examine pulp and residue before accepting a crushing route; size reduction alone is not evidence of acceptable recovered pulp.

03

Check the connection to extraction

Coordinate hopper loading, discharge position and pulper feed control. Prepared material should not accumulate in an inaccessible gap. A crusher with a higher nominal rating cannot compensate for a downstream bottleneck.

04

Provide the right selection information

State incoming fruit condition, planned flow and the difficulty you are trying to solve. The PS family range is a general equipment reference, not a measured guava result. Ask for preparation and extraction to be assessed together.
