EQUIPMENT SELECTION GUIDE

Sizing a Buffer for Guava Pulp Processing

Plan useful guava pulp buffer volume around extraction variation, batch receiving, continuous treatment demand, minimum levels and cleaning.

01

Use working volume rather than vessel size

Useful buffer is the volume between the minimum and maximum operating levels. Account for outlet conditions, residual material and any agitation requirements. A headline vessel capacity alone does not describe how long the downstream equipment can keep running.

02

Identify the actual flow mismatch

Extraction may fluctuate while the thermal module requires steadier flow. Supplied pulp can arrive in batches, and blending follows a recipe cycle. Describe those operating intervals before deciding the needed hold-up.

03

Coordinate product holding and transfer

Holding limits depend on the product and process. A buffer should not hide an undersized treatment module. Include pulp temperature, viscosity and particle condition, the outlet pump duty and the installed pipe route.

04

Allow the circuit to empty and clean

Plan outlet locations, level sensing, drains, return paths and accessible seals with the equipment arrangement. Share existing tank dimensions and the upstream/downstream operating pattern when discussing a buffer upgrade.
